Halloweenid Food Truck or Treat Halloween Festival
“We are doing something totally different with this year’s Halloween festival,” said Tammy Wilson, owner of the Enid Event Company and organizer of the Halloweenid festival. “We are going to incorporate the regular Halloweenid festivities with a fall food truck festival. We will be having all the contests and fun Halloween things intertwined with some of the region’s favorite food trucks and instead of being on the square, it will be on the red brick road on East Maple, or The Brix, as we call it in that neighborhood.”
There will be costume contests for all ages as well as pets, a Halloween Queen pageant, the Witch’s Dance, a scarecrow contest, a soup cook off, and a jack-o-lantern carving contest. In addition to the Halloween festivities, there will be live music throughout the day.
The festival is taking applications for artists, crafters, and artisans. Booths are $75 or the booth fee will be waived if the vendors will pass out candy. “If anyone is interested in handing out candy at the festival, we would be glad to have them,” Wilson said, “but we aren’t going to be doing the traditional trick or treating as we have in the past, and are instead focusing on more of a festival atmosphere for the day.”
Admission is $3, children 12 and under are free.
