About Fling at the Springs
Fling at the Springs is an annual music festival at Government Springs Park in Enid, Oklahoma.
The Fling was created in 2003 by Enid resident and musician Sylvan Reynolds as a fundraiser for the park and has evolved over the years into an annual festival celebrating live music. In 2010, Reynolds collaborated with event planner Tammy Wilson and they planned and hosted it together for several years. When Reynolds decided to retire from the event, Wilson joined forces with Michael Dotson, who had been a long time volunteer for the event and in 2020, A Fling at the Springs became a 501c3 non-profit organization.
Usually the last weekend in September, the Fling hosts acoustic acts and full bands from Oklahoma and the surrounding area. The event has always been supported through donations and volunteers so it can remain free to the public.
