Kamp Kooksamongus – Grown Up Summer Camp

What: Summer Camp for folks over 21 – summer camp with booze, that is.

When: Thursday, June 7 at 5pm through Sunday, June 10 at 12pm

Where: Dancing Deer Lodge, Stillwater, OK

Why: Because summer camp is awesome.

How much: $250 per person – this includes 3 nights of tent camping, all your meals, camp tshirt, arts & crafts, all camp activities, games, swimming, photo booth, campfires, dance/party, s’mores, Hippie Juice (the consummate summer camp adult beverage), and the peace of mind you’ll get from escaping your normal grown up world for a few days, not to mention the new friends you’ll make.

We do have installment plans available to make it easier on the budget since, as grown ups, we have other responsibilities, unlike when we were 12 and our parents paid for camp.

Dancing Deer Lodge is a lovely place on the outskirts of Stillwater that is privately owned. We will be camping in the green space and will have use of the pool, art studio, and restroom. Directions will be sent out before Kamp starts.

You can arrive as early as 5pm on Thursday, June 7th. Please don’t come earlier than that. If you need to come later, that’s no problem, just let us know. We’ll help get everyone settled in, have a light dinner, and get to know each other.

We will be tent camping but tents will NOT be co-ed. You will be assigned bunk mates but if you come with friends and would like to be with them, we can likely make arrangements for you to bunk together. If you come with your mate – feel free to make out in the woods, girls and boys tents will still be separate even for couples.

Do not worry about coming by yourself – there will be lots of opportunities to make friends. Everyone is accepted at Kamp Kooksamongus. Everyone. We’ll have a facebook page available for pre-camp discussions.

Kamp is BYOB – bring whatever beverage you like to imbibe. If you do not drink, that’s cool, too – we will have plenty of tea and water.

We will have arts & crafts, games, and field day activities planned but you can participate as much or little as you want. However, there will be some things that require team play so keep your team in mind. There is a pool available and we’ll have time to swim and chill.

The evenings will bring such fun camp prerequisites as ghost stories around the camp fire, dance, talent show, etc. The dance will be 80’s themed, so plan accordingly.

Meals will be summer camp fare – if you have special dietary needs, please let us know that ahead of time.

We want this to be fun for everyone and we will try not to be overbearing with rules. We would, however, ask that everyone try to refrain from discussing what you do for a living in the outside world or exchanging business cards, etc., at least until the end of Kamp.

What to bring:
Sleeping bag
Pillow
Basic toiletries (deodorant for sure!)
Comfy clothes for each day

Swim suits
Flip Flops

Plastic bag for your wet clothes
A jacket or sweatshirt just in case
One plain white t-shirt to decorate for Field Day
80’s themed outfit for the dance
Sunscreen
Bug Spray
Medications (hangovers, yo!)
A cooler for your beverages
Feel free to bring any snacks you might want (we’ll have some available, too)

There will be no refunds once you’ve registered but we will allow you to transfer your ticket to someone else. If you transfer your ticket, we will need the new camper’s information.
